I have sewed many years off and I have decided to start fresh again.
I learnt to read the pattern and lay out on fabric as Dawn showed me and sewing. I really enjoyed it so much also Dawn is absolutely an ace teacher on face one to one cos I'm deaf which is much easier lipreading. I cannot wait to go to class and try to finish my summer dress 😁 (I love it!)
I would recommend you all come try and have to go and learn to sew.
if any deaf person wants to go I support and will interpret BSL. (British Sign Language)

Attended my first alterations workshop last night and absolutely loved it. Lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere and really helpful, kind and patient tutor. Can’t quite believe I can now alter the waist on a pair of trousers! Was great to see what others were learning too. I’d definitely love to do another alterations class and take a different item to alter. Thought the overlocker was great too!!

Hannah was an excellent tutor, loved the small class size, learnt so much including how to create my own pattern from an old pair of trousers - superb !

I did a beginners overlocker course with Sew Confident lead by Hannah. Hannah is a brilliant tutor, patient, knowledgable, and explained everything simply. The atmosphere was informal and the environment comfortable. I would definitely do another course, and would recommend these classes highly. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced seamstress, you'll definitely leave with more sewing confidence than you arrived.

Thoroughly enjoyed the beginners course with Dawn. Complete novice but the course was pitched perfectly. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking more classes. Massive thank you to Dawn and the beautiful bunch of ladies on my course 🥰

I had a great evening learning how to arm knit with Dawn! She’s super friendly and patient, and it was a group of 8, so she was able to give all of us plenty of time. I came away with a gorgeous mustard blanket and a new skill, a great way to spend an evening!

Thankyou Dawn for teaching kaye and I how to arm knit yesterday. We actually made a blanket in a little over an hour! The venue is situated in the centre of chorley with lots of free parking locally. We will be booking one of your other courses. Cant wait!Suzanne

Had a brilliant time at the Free Motion Embroidery class on 17th Jan 23. Patient teaching, great venue and location made it an absolute pleasure. Haven’t enjoyed a class like that in quite a while. Would thoroughly recommend. Helen G 😀

Did an overlocking class in October. Hannah was very inviting and explained how to make an oversized t-shirt.There was only one thing wrong, it was a bit hard to find, needs more signage. But I will definitely be booking onto another couple of classes next year, eg; dress making. I would recommend it. Thank you

I went along to the swing dress Christmas class last night with no experience of using jersey fabric or an over locker. Well what a fab class I came away with a beautifully made maxi swing dress. Such an easy pattern and wow I love using an overlocker… definitely need one #goingonmychristmaslist

Had a lovely couple of hours today sewing cushions for the breast care ward at Chorley Hospital. Was a productive afternoon with lovely ladies all keen to give back to the community. Having been on the ward myself some 19 years ago I was happy to help. Everyone was chatty and friendly and tea/ coffee provided by Dawn. I’m sure I’ll be back again to share a class or two in the future. Well done Sew Confident for hosting such a worthy event for our local hospital xx

Absolutely loved the beginners course I did. So much so that I’ve since booked onto two more courses. The free motion embroidery (if you’ve not done this one, give it a try - it’s loads of fun!) and the Seascape in a few weeks. Dawn and Ruth are both amazingly friendly and so knowledgeable.. not to mention patient (thankfully!)

Took my daughter to the children’s beginner class because she’s been watching sewing bee non-stop. She loved the class and her bag that she made. Thanks

I had the best time what a fantastic company. Not only have I had a great learning experience sewing and making some great items. Dawn makes the experience so enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble. Her patience and her passion are fantastic. Love the sewing bundles, ready-to-purchase and whizz-off items. Free tea and coffee plus BISCUITS is always a winner. On the plus side, it's great a social place as the classes are only small really warm and friendly atmosphere. Learnt so much I've booked another class before Christmas and again after. Thanks, Dawn for such a great time. I cannot highly recommend this business enough. ✨

I had wanted to book onto a class with Sew Confident for awhile. However, it felt a bit daunting booking onto a class by myself, not knowing anybody and worrying that everyone else would be way more advanced than me. When I saw a shirred dress class I had to book it. As soon as I arrived to my class I felt completely at ease! Dawn is a fab teacher. So knowledgable, friendly and kind. I have left feeling totally inspired and can’t wait to get my machine back out at home!

I attended an alterations class and was greated by Hannah. The class was really bright and airy, very welcoming and Hannah was really great at explaining step by step what I needed to do. I left feeling more co fident at altering Trousers, hems on tops and skirts and even had a go on an overlocker! Worth every penney in my opinion. Will be returning again hopefully soon. Thanks Jess

Just completed the beginners course. Dawn was welcoming, patient, supportive and encouraging. If you think you cannot sew or don't know where to start, give it a go. I loved every minute. Thank you.I completed the 'Make a Top' course with Hannah. So patient, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a brilliant introduction to making your own clothes. I can highly recommend. (May 2022)

Had a brilliant 2 hours this evening at the Machine Doodles class. The teacher Ruth is really inspirational and super helpful. I’m delighted with what I produced and now have the confidence to doodle away.

As ever Dawns lovely school has given me a lovely experience and a lovely skill. Highly recommend ( my crochet is gong to take some practice!)
