Stayed here for 5 nights in a twin room with my mum. The room itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, as was the attached shower room. Nice touches included local biscuits and soap, a well stocked tea and coffee tray and super comfortable beds. The room wasn't particularly spacious but it was fine for us, and it was at the rear of the property so there was no road noise.
Parking is right outside the front door, and it's easy to get onto the main roads out of Stornoway, and a short walk into the town centre for dinner.
Breakfast is excellent - most mornings we couldn't manage the full breakfast so took advantage of the buffet selection of cereals and yogurts, along with toast - other guests were enjoying all the options available and it looked and smelled great.
The Wi-Fi is great.
The hosts are really friendly and helpful, particularly in advising us of places to visit.

So I’ll start by saying I’m not a fan of B&Bs. I have been to a couple and they are just not my cup of tea for a number of reasons. So you will be thinking why the five stars. Well the place is very handy for town, it’s very clean and the room I had was comfortable. Breakfast was great and fresh. Very welcoming. Great place if you are visiting the island.

Loved staying at the Hebridean! We were a group of women on a walking tour of the Outer Hebrides and this was our first stop. This place is charming: Linda was warm, welcoming and genuine. My room was immaculate and comfortable, Our Scottish breakfast was yummy. I highly recommend the Hebridean!

Loved everything about this hotel. Linda, the owner was wonderful and fun. Highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. It was in a good location and the hotel was very accommodating and knew the area. The room was spotless and the showers were hot.

Proprietors Linda and Kevin could not have been more accommodating in meeting our needs. I loved the private single room and probably had my two best night sleeps at this place. The best private shower in Scotland. A couple of my friends and I even had a late night chat with Linda. Lots of good conversation and laughs!

The Hebridean guest house is located on the main street (bayhead road) in Stornoway next to the salvation army and within a block on a police station and Petro station, walking distance to town, and minutes from ferry. There is plenty of free street parking. Convenient location.
Spacious en-suite on third floor (room 5?) with cape cod style ceiling.
Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit available.
We stayed for 3 days between August 29-31, 2017

We stayed here on the nights of August 29, 30 and 31st, 2017. We were situated in room 5 at the top of the stairs over looking Bayhead road. The room was large enough to accommodate 2 adults, 3 suitcases and 2 backpacks. The bed was large and comfortable. The only minor niggles were the angle of the roof on one side of the room meant you had to mind your head at times, but an ideal spot to store luggage. The second was the shower stall which was a tad small. It took a little getting used to, but it did have plenty of hot water. Lastly there is not dedicated parking for the hotel, so you must park on the street. We never had trouble finding a spot within a 2 minute walk of the hotel. On the morning of check out we had to catch the ferry before breakfast but where given a bag with a variety of tasty snacks to tide us over. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the town's, shops, pubs and restaurants. It was a great location from which to explore Lewis/ Harris Isle. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for three nights while exploring the Isle of Lewis. Room was nice and fresh, location was good, people were nice and helpful, and the breakfast was great! The single rooms can be small -- this was not an issue for me, as I am also small and didn't spend much time in the room itself. But if you're a large man you might want to get a double room.

Spent three nights here while in Stornaway. I found this to be a well situated B & B, my room was spacious with a high ceiling, high quality fittings and a comfy bed. The en suite was luxurious with an amazing shower. It had a TV, wifi and nicely stocked Tea tray. My room was cleaned each day and restocked with fresh towels.

The breakfast was a magnificent affair with everything one could wish for. All the hot food was made to order, the produce used was of a very high standard. I had poached eggs twice and must compliment the chef, as they were the best I have ever tasted!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would very highly recommend this B & B as a fantastic place to stay from which to explore the local area. Linda was friendly and an excellent host, who despite being busy took time to chat to guests.

We booked this B & B early in the New Year and were delighted with our choice. It was very easy to find and within easy walking distance of the town centre and across the road from Lews Castle. We were made very welcome and our double room was gorgeous, very spacious with a nest of tables and a settee at one end, so we could relax before we changed to go out in the evening. The breakfast was excellent with very friendly staff waiting on, nothing was any trouble. We would definitely go back and recommend this B & B.

Excellent base for a family break in the Hebrides... Location of the guest house was perfect; easy parking, places to eat at easy walking distance in Stornaway. Easy to drive to all that Lewis and Harris has to offer.
If you are into this kind of thing? Terrific running routes around and through parklands across the street. In fact the running around the harbour track, was reminiscent of films I have seen of runners in New York's 'central park' ... Given the popularity of running, must be mentioned.
The guest house owners, Linda and Kevin, are really friendly and helpful; giving good advise where to go, and cooking up an excellent breakfast everyday. The condition of the rooms we had was 'tip top'..

One of the best places I've stayed. I could only get a single room which I found a little small. The room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast fantastic. You could not ask for better hosts. I was there for six days wish it was longer
