The Railway Cottages

We never wanted to leave. Everything about the place was spot on. Selma the host was so warm and kind and just a really great hostess. The small village Grosmont itself is charming and surrounded by great walks and mini shops. Would come here anytime.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. What a fabulous B&B. The room we had and the rest of the hotel were so clean and tidy with great attention to detail.
Our room had an amazing view of the station and the location perfect for our trip on the Flying Scotsman.
The breakfast was lovely and the homemade bread was wonderful.
We would definitely recommend this B&B and will pass on the details to anyone who is visiting the area

What a beautiful place! Stunning room, fantastic welcome, delicious breakfast. Home-made bread and marmalade, accommodation for vegan/veggie diets and such pretty table-settings. Selma is a great host.

Had a very lovely stay, wonderful hosts! Cottage was spectacular very clean, very comfy bed! Selma and Chris was very lovely and made my visit well worth it! Will definetley return and reccommend Grosmont House!

Our best B&B experience by far!! Selma is a lovely host who made us feel at home immediatly. She gave us shelter while we were doing the coast to coast trail, and we love her for that.
The breakfast was amazing, all quality products and made with love. The room we stayed in was beautiful, it had everything we could wish for. Besides that is Grosmont a very pitoresque town. If you ever visit, you should stay at Selma' s!

Spent 3 nights at Grosmont House and loved it! Room was so comfortable and a fanstastic view of the train station! Selma made us feel so welcome and we particularly enjoyed the home cooked breakfast - thankyou for having us!

I have stayed here twice and will visit again. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice available. Ideally located 5 minutes walk from North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The rooms were lovely and bright and decorated to a high standard. I would highly recommend a visit. Steam train can be caught to Whitby and Pickering.

I booked this for 3 nights recently to have a base for exploring the area and for accessing the steam train at the Grosmont Station. Room was lovely, breakfast was fantastic, hosts could not do more for us and the location for us was perfectly. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here on our final night of the coast to coast. It was so beautiful and comfy and the hosts where so welcoming and friendly. The house is stunning and breakfast was delicious. We ate dinner in the pub which was also totally delicious. Would definitely recommend!
