THE WHITE LION HOTEL

I stayed at the White line pub/Hotel Without having planned a stay. On a wet afternoon in December finding myself in Llantwit Major, And a journey to Cardiff my final destination being a good 45 minutes away, I decided as a single female traveller, to stay the night at the white line Hotel instead of braving the roads to Cardiff.I can’t rate This small cozy public house and its accompany accommodation highly enough. . As I said being a female travelling on her own, some situations can make you nervous, at the White Lion I felt safe, welcome, and I definitely enjoyed my short stay. Llantwit Major Is a small pretty town, with the train station, and plenty of small shops to look at. The beach is only 15 minutes away. Although yet more water wasn’t my idea of fun. A very warm welcome from the landlords, Charlie and Pat, and the other staff, after a long depressing drive, Was exactly what I needed. Food was available, gorgeous pizzas and nachos., And it felt like all of the customers in the establishment were very friendly too. I went from feeling wet, bedraggled And miserable, To smiling, laughing with the staff and customers and having a good meal, okay and maybe a large drink too. I was given one of the updated terms which are warm comfortable, and very very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again and the White Lion Hotel Is highly recommended by me, Perhaps, especially for ladies on their own, I felt extremely safe and cared for, A female member of staff even walked me down to my room after dark to make sure I felt comfortable. There’s a woman having on my own and found the white line by accident. Absolutely great place lovely welcoming staff the woman is wonderful. Lots of hot water, coffee and tea making biscuits every day. I get an extra biscuits put out for me. Let’s stay one night and I stayed full absolutely lovely staff Charlie the landlady of the pub looks glamorous even after a 12 hour shift and it’s really friendly and a big shout out to Pat big G Neil and everybody at the white line because it’s absolutely brilliant place to say and I’m highly recommend it to women travel on their own especially but also two families and couple couples 5 out of 5 definitely.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5Hotel highlightsQuiet, Child-friendly, Great value

I recently stayed at the White Lion in the Oasthouse. A fabulous refurbished, family room, sleeping 4. Great facilities for a family stay and great value for money. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower. Comfy beds and spotlessly clean bedding. There is a table and chairs. A cosy, warm room with tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water. All you need for a family break.Free car park at the rear. Remember to enter your car details in the machine in reception.Pat and his staff are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.All in all, a great stay! Auf dem Coast-Path unterwegs waren wir eine Nacht im White Lion. Alles war unkompliziert und Patrick sehr freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war wunderbar groß, ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Da das Zimmer im Nebengebäude ist, war der Weg zum Pub sehr kurz und das Zimmer trotzdem ruhig.
