Oscar Mathies is a very skilled craftsman capable of creating the perfect bespoke kitchen. We had definite ideas on what we wanted but needed someone withs Oscars flair to manifest our ideas. Our cottage basically is open plan so we wanted the kitchen to be sympathetic aesthetically to our living area. He achieved this with perfect attention to detail and design. With installation we virtually had no inconvenience. He is the tidiest and most considerate craftsman we have had work in our home. The finished job is ‘stunning ‘and could not be improved on! Oscar met all of our requirements when having bespoke units. We kept changing our minds on what we wanted Oscar quotes a number of times without issue. The work was carried out on time to the spec we wanted and without issue. How work was neat and tidy, leaving no mess and causing little fuss. We were happy we used Oscar and will have him back to carry out more work for us.

Oscar did a brilliant job helping with the renovation of our house, making a number of bespoke items including a radiator cover and bathroom cabinet. He also fitted our kitchen to a very high standard and made a lovely over mantle. He provided a very friendly, punctual service and was very tidy. We would definitely recommend!

Oscar designed bespoke wardrobes for our master bedroom to fit between a wonky old fireplace. They look outstanding and we're very impressed with his work. We couldn't be happier with them!!

Oscar built 2 sink units for us. One was in the master bedroom, the other was in our childrens bathroom. In both cases, we had found designs on Pinterest that we wanted copied. One, we couldn't find the item to buy; the other's price was far too high. Oscar built both and they look absolutely amazing, completely matching the pictures and, in the case of the item for the children's bathroom, at a fraction of the price in the store. I would highly recommend Mathies Joinery to anyone and everyone. Not only is Oscar a lovely guy and a pleasure to work with, his work is of the highest quality too!
