Doctor Damp Blackpool

Posting this on behalf of my stepmum who lives in the Cleveleys area.These lads were called in to sort the cavity walls in her bungalow after another company had overcharged and bodged the job. They completed all the work at a very reasonable price, to a really high standard, repainted the rendering and fully cleaned up after themselves. I’d leave the review at that but they went over and above. They have gone out of their way and helped her trust tradesmen again as they supported my step mum to challenge the original builders and get some money back. As a pensioner that is not from the area, this has really put her mind so thankyou from me as well. Top lads!

This company came to give me a quote and gave me some excellent advice of cheaper options to solve a moisture and mould issue. He was incredibly knowledgeable and everything he said checked out after my own research. I’m going to try the cheapest option first which actually saved me £3k and didn’t benefit the company at all. I really appreciate his honesty and knowledge. If the cheaper option fails then I will be straight back to him to come and do the extensive work. No hesitation.

I recently had my cavity wall insulation removed by Doctor Damp, and I want to give a huge thank-you to Lee and Shane for the outstanding job they did. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the issues I’d been experiencing.They took the time to thoroughly inspect the problem before starting any work, and they explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. The removal of the insulation was carried out efficiently, with great attention to detail and care for my property. Lee came round to look at front room walls and knew exactly what kind of damp it was and explained what needed doing. Shane and Lee started the work and the standard is top notch Every day the room was left tidy and had to come into hallway which was also left tidy . Was a pleasure to have these to doing the work and very easy to get on with. After finishing the front room it was left very tidy and left to dry. I would have no hesitation having them again for work.. Both work hard and get on with the job at hand.

Lee came to survey our property at short notice request from our builder, same day. Lee offered my builder and myself advice regards to the failure of and removal of the cavity wall insulation and general damp issues. Lee gave us a start date promptly and began work to remove the insulation and debris. Lee and Shane worked like absolute troopers on what was a difficult and large task. They kept me updated on all progress, any areas of concern. They patiently answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they clearly had very deep and varied knowledge and expertise. Both were very polite and competent at their job, showing us with the camera probe that the cavities were clear of insulation and sand, soil and rubble debris.They tidied up afterwards and the following day, the report came through summarising their actions and findings along with photos of the clear cavities.It is often quite difficult to find genuine decent work people that you can trust and with Lee and Shane this is absolutely the case. Both are decent salt of the Earth, genuine guys that want to make a difference and make things right. I absolutely highly recommend Dr Damp to anyone suffering with damp issues and I will be using them again regards some other damp issues within the property. Lee came round to do a free survey,put my mind at ease as he was very knowledgeable,honest & straight to the point what needed doing.him & shane are lovely lads,did all the work in the allocated time at a very reasonable price indeed,definitely reccomend & will be my first port of call if I need more work done in future,thanks lads 😊

Booked the doctor Damp to remove the cavity wall after meeting with Lee and surveying property, also to point my house, I found Lee to be informative and not pushy at all. Agreed a day for work to commence unfortunately they had to delay my work for a couple of days, instead of phoning they actually called to my house to apologise and to advise of new start date. They turned up on the new expected date. Work completed within the time scales and they informed me before they left to advise when they would be arriving the next day. They told me exactly how long the work would take , which was completed as expected and the price was as quoted no hidden extras. Lee and Shay are down to earth friendly and informative, the workmanship is second to none and left the property clean after each day. So much so I have booked them again to complete further work for me. I cannot recommend Doctor Damp highly enough from communication, to courtesy not only to me but that of my neighbours and for their pricing. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Recently had our cavity wall insulation removed as it was causing damp issues throughout our house. Absolute professionals, walked us through every stage of the process and did a brilliant job. Noticed the difference immediately. Coming from within the building trade myself I can be a hard customer to work for but these guys were amazing and I Would highly recommend them to anyone suffering with any damp problems. Cleaned up brilliantly afterwards.

Well absolutely brilliant. Took the cavity wall insulation, Polystyrene beads, out as it was causing damp. From start to finish they explained everything, why we were getting mouldy walls and how to resolve it. The rubbish that came out of the walls was immense. Sand , wet beads all bridging the gap between the walls keeping the walls wet. Three days they worked like trojans. I can't recommend them enough. Lovely lads too. Polite. Clean. Trustworthy. Very honest and genuine chap. Turned up to have a look within an hour - as I had called just after 4pm, this meant the visit was after what would have otherwise been the end of the day.The most surprising thing was that after spending half an hour having a look around and explaining things, instead of trying to sell the damp proofing services to me, I was shown what to do and how to do it so I could save money. I presume this was done because it was evident that I am doing the entire house refurbishment myself and therefore could have the necessary skills/tools.I offered to pay a little for the time that was given to me but this was refused so I thought the best I could do is leave a review, especially as it is not very common for tradespeople to be so honest.PS - I did a quick Google search afterwards to corroborate what I had been told and can confirm that indeed it appears that what I was told was accurate so I would highly recommend Doctor Damp if you are in Blackpool and are skeptical about being oversold, lied to, ripped off etcPositiveResponsiveness, Punctuality, ProfessionalismServicesMould inspection

Cavity wall insulation extraction.Cannot recommend highly enough, Lee was really helpful he went over and above what was expected, nothing was too much trouble.
