Just got back from an amazing weekend staying at the incredible Amarillo guest house for my hen weekend. Whilst I had no part of organising the accomodation, from what I understand Jane and Ged were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the planning stages and were kind enough to let us take over the whole guesthouse for the bank holiday weekend.The rooms were all amazing! I stayed in "bird room" as I liked to call it and it was honestly so beautiful with huge mirrors and a super comfy bed.The location was excellent with only a 15 minute or so walk to the seafront and it was super clean!I have already raved about it to my hubby-to-be and we're hoping to visit together in the future.Thanks again so much h Jane and Ged for trusting 15 hens to take it over - we hope you are happy with how we left it and wish you all the best for future bookings. Amarillo Guesthouse è un raro gioiello, in ottima posizione, vicinissimo alla stazione degli autobus, alla spiaggia e ad una decina di minuti a piedi dal centro. Pulizia impeccabile. La nostra camera, a tema "zebra", era stupenda, comodissima ed arredata con molto gusto. I proprietari Jane e Ged sono stati estremamente gentili e disponibili a chiacchierare con noi. Ci è piaciuta moltissimo la colazione continentale veramente molto ricca e con prodotti di alta qualità. Buonissima anche la ginger cake che i proprietari hanno gentimente lasciato a disposizione degli ospiti durante la giornata. Just had a lovely weeks stay at Amarillo. We couldn’t recommend this lovely place enough. Jane and Ged made us very welcome in their guest house and we felt it was home from home and so comfortable in our room overlooking the park opposite.Lovely breakfast in quirky breakfast room,with interesting pictures.Downsde was parking as we had a brand new 2 day old car and had to park it along the road,apart from that an excellent place to stay.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5

My partner and I had to leave our other accommodation because it was awful. We didn’t have anywhere to go. We were so lucky to have Jane and Ged welcome us at such a late time and last minute. They were amazing and kind from the moment we contacted them all the way through until we left. They were accommodating, kind, friendly and understanding. You can feel the love they put into their guesthouse and their work. I’ve never experienced anything like it. From the moment we stepped trough the door of Amarillo guest house we were made to feel so welcome by Ged and Jane. Our room along with the house was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Room was small, however, staff were very friendly and nicely based location near the beach.

The property is in a good location with parking on the drive (3 spaces) or parking on the road (no permit) which is useful. The guesthouse is decorated very well and is clean throughout. Jane and Ged are lovely hosts and put on a great breakfast. They made us feel at home and we're helpful with recommendations of where to go and what to do. I chose the smallest room because I was an university student at that moment. I used this guesthouse almost three years ago, and it was absolutely amazing. The B&B is just perfect 👌 good position (7 minutes from the beach and 9 minutes from the station), tasty and varied breakfast, clean rooms and bathroom. Jane and Jed are wonderful people! Myself and my husband had the loveliest of stays at Jane and Ged’s B&B this past weekend.They were there to welcome us personally, gave us some directions to local spots including the beach, piers and were happy to give their recommendations on anything we asked.The beach front is a 5-10 minute walk from The Amarillo, then you can take a left to Bromsgrove Pier or right to Bournemouth Pier. We took a right and headed up to Bournemouth pier and centre and it was the nicest walk, looking out to the sea especially as it was a beautiful day.When we came back one day there was a fresh loaf of ginger cake which we were able to help ourselves to and honestly, it was AMAZING! We had a slice each and my husband had to barricade our door to stop me going to get the rest of the cake! Such a lovely touch it really made me smile.The room was perfect. Wonderfully decorated. It had everything we possibly needed. The bed was comfortable, the best pillows. Soft, cosy bedding. Good shower and lovely body wash and gels, which was welcome as I’d forgotten mine.We were unable to use the dining room due to certain reasons *cough* Covid *cough* so Jane dropped us the nicest of breakfasts at our door at a time of our choosing. Over the two mornings we had pastries, granola bars, cheese, eggs, a selection of fruits, yoghurts and cereal bars. Also a fresh pot of coffee which was bloomin’ lush! We were like kids with goody bags munching our way through it all.Our room had a brand new TV, with Netflix. Gorgeous shutter blinds, which made me google for a quote to get them at home. There is free WiFi and free parking. And also, may I add, that the pretty lighting and the beautiful trees and plants on the entrance to the B&B are absolutely gorgeous!! When you head back in the evening it looks so inviting and pretty as you head towards the door, we were so impressed.Jane and Ged have really got it right at The Amarillo and we would 100%, 10/10 recommend. This is my second stay at the Amarillo and both stays have been great. It is situated in a quiet location opposite the Kniveton gardens, a short walk away from the cliff top and the zig-zag down to the beach. The rooms are great - very clean and well appointed. I stayed on my own the first time and this time with my wife in the larger Luxury en-suite that looks over the park - both excellent rooms. The hosts Ged and Jane are very friendly and attentive.Will definitely come here again on future trips to Bournemouth.

We stayed at the Amarillo on a Saturday, as check in was mid-afternoon and we had a previous engagement they let us arrive at 11am to book in. Upon arrival it is exquisitely furnished and we loved the big Christmas tree and decorations it was very welcoming. After easy check in we were shown to our room, we asked about the area and they gave us very useful information and directions. The owners Jane and Ged are very pleasant people and always willing to help. We had the main front bedroom and it is very beautiful and tasteful. We opted for a cooked breakfast and we are glad we did as it was very nice, although the breakfast bar was very plentiful, they also catered for myself and provided gluten free toast. We shall most definitely be staying again now we have found this little gem in Bournemouth, which is very convenient to the beach only 8 minutes’ walk away and if you go right from the beach it takes you into town.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5

Fantastic b&b

I stayed for a total of 9 nights and Jane and Ged were the best! They were both really attentive, nothing was too much trouble and most importantly really friendly and easy going. They made sure they got to know you personally and asked about your day/trip, and in return, they were really easy to get to know too. It really felt like home away from home. The beds were really comfy, rooms and general building are very clean and well decorated, and the shower facilities were great too! 20 min walk away from the beach, 5 mins from the station/Asda but far enough away you're not kept awake by the noise of the main square. Would gladly come back for another 9 nights! I wish them all the best with Summer 2020!

Sehr nettes B&B. Uriger Frühstücksraum, saubere Zimmer, freies WLAN. Sehr nettes Vermieterpaar nebst Mutter. Rob und Paul sind sehr aufmerksam. Unbedingt das selbst gebackene T-Bread von Roberts Mutter probieren. Wir hatten ein "late arrival', was aber (nach Anruf) kein Problem war.Jederzeit wieder.

Just returned home from a brilliant 3 nights stay in this beautiful, exceptionally clean B&B and feel depressed that i wished i had ask to stay another night.. Paul was a fantastic, welcoming, funny host.. trust all the positive comments about this place as it truly is worth every penny.. we stayed in room 3 and loved it..continental breakfast was included and was more than adequate.. location was great. Just ask Paul as he was just like an Encyclopedia 👍. 15mins walk into the main Bournemouth town centre and roughly 20mins drive to Sandbanks beach and just a little further to Poole Quay side which we went twice as loved it. Definately recommend a trip over to Studland Bay on the ferry for £1 each foot passenger.. the beach was stunning and away from the very busy Bournemouth main beach.. Our first time in Bournemouth and definately will be going back and The Amarillo will definately be at the top of our list for booking. Keep it up Paul and Rob.. your place is fantastic. Thank you..
