Jane and Ged made this a very warm and welcoming stay. Our room was so lovely, super clean and clearly sanitised in every nook and cranny! Myself and my husband had the loveliest of stays at Jane and Ged’s B&B this past weekend.They were there to welcome us personally, gave us some directions to local spots including the beach, piers and were happy to give their recommendations on anything we asked.The beach front is a 5-10 minute walk from The Amarillo, then you can take a left to Bromsgrove Pier or right to Bournemouth Pier. We took a right and headed up to Bournemouth pier and centre and it was the nicest walk, looking out to the sea especially as it was a beautiful day.When we came back one day there was a fresh loaf of ginger cake which we were able to help ourselves to and honestly, it was AMAZING! We had a slice each and my husband had to barricade our door to stop me going to get the rest of the cake! Such a lovely touch it really made me smile.The room was perfect. Wonderfully decorated. It had everything we possibly needed. The bed was comfortable, the best pillows. Soft, cosy bedding. Good shower and lovely body wash and gels, which was welcome as I’d forgotten mine.We were unable to use the dining room due to certain reasons *cough* Covid *cough* so Jane dropped us the nicest of breakfasts at our door at a time of our choosing. Over the two mornings we had pastries, granola bars, cheese, eggs, a selection of fruits, yoghurts and cereal bars. Also a fresh pot of coffee which was bloomin’ lush! We were like kids with goody bags munching our way through it all.Our room had a brand new TV, with Netflix. Gorgeous shutter blinds, which made me google for a quote to get them at home. There is free WiFi and free parking. And also, may I add, that the pretty lighting and the beautiful trees and plants on the entrance to the B&B are absolutely gorgeous!! When you head back in the evening it looks so inviting and pretty as you head towards the door, we were so impressed.Jane and Ged have really got it right at The Amarillo and we would 100%, 10/10 recommend. Wonderful 3 night stay. The house is spotlessly clean and top quality decorating. Lovely, friendly hosts who have also done their best to adhere to the new Covid regulations. Couldn’t fault anything. This is my second stay at the Amarillo and both stays have been great. It is situated in a quiet location opposite the Kniveton gardens, a short walk away from the cliff top and the zig-zag down to the beach. The rooms are great - very clean and well appointed. I stayed on my own the first time and this time with my wife in the larger Luxury en-suite that looks over the park - both excellent rooms. The hosts Ged and Jane are very friendly and attentive.Will definitely come here again on future trips to Bournemouth.

We stayed at the Amarillo on a Saturday, as check in was mid-afternoon and we had a previous engagement they let us arrive at 11am to book in. Upon arrival it is exquisitely furnished and we loved the big Christmas tree and decorations it was very welcoming. After easy check in we were shown to our room, we asked about the area and they gave us very useful information and directions. The owners Jane and Ged are very pleasant people and always willing to help. We had the main front bedroom and it is very beautiful and tasteful. We opted for a cooked breakfast and we are glad we did as it was very nice, although the breakfast bar was very plentiful, they also catered for myself and provided gluten free toast. We shall most definitely be staying again now we have found this little gem in Bournemouth, which is very convenient to the beach only 8 minutes’ walk away and if you go right from the beach it takes you into town.Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5

This was our second stay at the Amarillo! It was amazing. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. There is a continental breakfast which has a wide variety available. You can also choose a cooked breakfast option too. The hosts Jane and Ged are brilliant, they are very welcoming and friendly people. The hosts, Ged and Jane are very friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic stay. They were exceptionally thoughtful, my partner received a birthday surprise left in our room (balloons, cupcakes and Prosecco) I would highly recommend this guesthouse. Perfect stay! A place where you can feel at home. Comfortable, clean, well designed rooms, very friendly hosts, 7 minutes walking distance from the bus/train station, 15 minutes to Boscombe Beach, 25 minutes to the city center and Bournemouth Pier. Thank you Ged and Jane!

Would give more stars if possible.Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The room was amazing, very spacious with an en suite and enormous comfy bed.Jane & Ged were very welcoming and friendly.Absolutely faultless in every aspect.Will hopefully be returning sometime soon, I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Bournemouth.Thank you for the lovely weekend.Jade & Andy

Fantastic b&b

I stayed for a total of 9 nights and Jane and Ged were the best! They were both really attentive, nothing was too much trouble and most importantly really friendly and easy going. They made sure they got to know you personally and asked about your day/trip, and in return, they were really easy to get to know too. It really felt like home away from home. The beds were really comfy, rooms and general building are very clean and well decorated, and the shower facilities were great too! 20 min walk away from the beach, 5 mins from the station/Asda but far enough away you're not kept awake by the noise of the main square. Would gladly come back for another 9 nights! I wish them all the best with Summer 2020!
