What a delightful lodge, I was warmly welcomed by Marie, who showed me my room and explained that due to the building being listed the upstairs rooms were not en-suite, which was ok for an overnight stay but could be an inconvenience for a longer stop. But then I was lucky to have this stunning lodge all to myself until another party arrived. The room, was impeccably clean and comfortable, With stunning views. There is currently no catering provided, but you are provided with everything you need in the kitchen. There is a sizzler pub within a 5 minute walk that is cheap n cheerful, and many other quality pubs and eateries within a short drive.
