I visited Sew Confident for the first time yesterday for the start of a 3 day beginner patchwork/quilting class. I was made very welcome by the class tutor Dawn and another 4 ladies were in attendance. The 4 hours flashed by and we made excellent progress and were given lots of information by Dawn.There is a kitchen and toilet facilities.There are also comprehensive fabrics, waddings and notions to purchase at very reasonable prices. I purchased a quarter inch foot which has improved my seam accuracy immensely.Fiona the studio owner is also very helpful.The venue has Janome sewing machines for student use together with cutting mats and rotary cutters and the usual scissors, unpickers etc so it is possible to travel light.A very enjoyable 4 hours and looking forward to next week.
