Roger Lilley is rare amongst architects by being equally very competent in all stages of the Architect’s Plan of Work. He can generate a range of imaginative concept options, creating space seemingly from out of nowhere; detail complicated connections; specify appropriate materials; and supervise construction.
He works well with clients and external parties - he is able to bounce ideas around until everyone is happy.

Roger listened to our requirements and created a number of options to test our imagination. The final option was not what we had expected but we are really pleased that we did. His overall service was excellent and was open to feedback from us.

We had a very dilapidated and small one bedroom bungalow and we employed Lilley Architecture to design and project manage the development. Roger produced some amazing plans which would very neatly transform the bungalow into a modern high spec 2 bedroom bungalow. As we live some distance away it was great to have Roger close by to project manage and ensure a good quality build. We couldn’t be more pleased with his work and the end result is even better than we could have imagined. If we ever had questions, Roger would always respond very quickly. We would highly recommend.

I've done two medium sized projects and one very large one with Roger and he's been great to work with. He has a very good understanding of the planning process and of all the technical aspects of architecture and he is sensitive to space and lifestyle. If you, as client, know what you want he is the perfect architect to develop your plans with and bring them, economically, to a deliverable level. I cannot recommend him too highly.

Had an excellent experience. Roger helped us design a much improved interior living space while also sticking to the confines of a listed building and all that that entails. I used Lilley Architecture to design a significant extension to my late 19th century agricultural cottage. While not listed the building and site were sensitive in nature and it was important to me that the design both recognised and complemented the exiting buildings.
