Kingfisher Glass

I had a lovely 2 days going back to the basics of glass cutting, soldering and finishing in a lead frame.

It’s lovely to have a teacher that knows the craft very well and will tell you what does and doesn’t work, will push you that little bit more and help you finish a piece to be proud of.

I can’t leave a review without mentioning the lunch (delicious) and tea & cake.

Thank you for inviting us into your studio and sharing your skills.

I will get a bit more practice / confidence and then join you for the painted glass course.

Thank you Brenda

Just had two day course with Brenda, loved every minute. Shes a brilliant teacher.
Fantastic value for money.
Food all fresh and home made, the whole two days was a pure joy. The cross below is what I made. Very happy with it.

We asked Brenda to make a stained glass window for our home. The result is superb, exactly what we had envisaged. Brenda's husband fitted it for us and the whole thing was expertly done with the minimum of fuss. We have no hesitation in recommending Kingfisher Glass.

Spent a lovely two days with Brenda, on the beginners, foiled stained glass course. She has a wonderful studio, in which the courses are held with plenty of room. Brenda takes a step by step approach, letting students gain confidence in the cutting of glass, showing different techniques for each type of cut. Nothing is rushed and she helps and advises when someone becomes stuck.
Brenda and her husband are very friendly and welcoming as are the dogs. I’m looking forwarded to attending another course, at a latter date.

Attended a 2 day course run by Brenda, fascinating and really enjoyable, she is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. Really pleased with the results. Cracking lunches too! Highly recommended.

Couldn't recommend the beginners stained glass course highly enough! Brenda is incredibly knowledgeable in her craft, a great teacher and will make sure that you finish the two days with a piece of work to be proud of. Brilliant lunch was served both days too!
Safe to say I've caught the bug and will definitely be trying this again at home.

I’ve just undertaken the two day beginners’ course and am absolutely thrilled with how much I have learned and achieved. Brenda is an excellent teacher and guide - and has the patience of a saint! Three of us did the course and each of us produced something really different from the other two. One piece was a delicate and charming flower with leaves against a misty white background and the other was an absolutely beautiful sunflower in various shades of yellow - truly impactful. My own piece was designed to fit a square panel in our front door - see the photo. Do this course ! You won’t regret it!

Over the summer my Mum, Sister and I attended a 2 day stained glass workshop - we had a great time and are really happy with the creations we took away. Brenda is great, very knowledgable and has a great sense of humour - she’ll tell you if you’ve done something that’s not great and will make you do it again 😂. The location is beautiful and her Husband’s home cooked food is really lovely . If you’re thinking of booking this course, do it!

3 of us did a 2 day course.
Brenda is professional, helpful,, encouraging and has a fantastic personality and sense of humour.
A real tonic and I created a piece of art!
Lovely lunch too.
Highly recommended if you're having a hard time at work. .. break free!

Thanks Brenda.

Brenda really knows her subject inside out! She has high standards and you produce quality work with her.
Brenda brings out your skills and you will come away with work you will be proud of.
