This is such a gem of a place....

This is such a gem of a place. Really close to the front and the lawn tennis club and near local restaurants. We had a little walk to Tesco Express and found we were nearly back at the railway station.
The hotel itself is lovely and such attention to detail. There is a really warm and welcoming lounge where guests can help themselves to tea and coffee ☕ and there are snacks with an honesty box. The rooms are beautifully decorated and colour co ordinated with quirky additions. We had Room 3 which had the lovely paisley wallpaper and fabulous cushions. The rooms are all decorated differently so it is a real treat for those interested in interiors.
So I was already won over and then came the breakfast. There was a menu - photo 📸 attached. So fantastic. I managed to resist the waffle which looks so fantastic in other pictures. Went for the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and it was truly fantastic...Melanie gave us loads of local info and gossip...what a great lady! My only regret was that I hadn't booked for longer...such value for money after all...
Don't ask me abut parking...I do public transport....
No-one should ever under estimate the work that goes into running a place like this to such a high standard...especially when they have had since a hard time having to close over 2 lockdowns...the running costs on a place like this must be astronomical.. hats off to small hoteliers!
