B has been a rock during a very difficult time, where we sadly lost my father and mother within 4 months of eachother. My sister lives abroad and nothing was too much trouble for B where she accommodated meetings so that we could all get together via Teams or face to face at a time to suit us, often weekends and evenings. We had little to go on with regards to wishes from our parents, both having dementia as well meant we'd not been able to have a meaningful conversation around what they wanted at the end of their lives. B showed huge patience and compassion as she helped us first-timers navigate the process. What struck us most about B, is how much time she spent with us to really get to know us and our parents. She really cares about each family, occasion and prompts in all the right places, uses humour appropriately to lighten the atmosphere, and goes above and beyond to find that right poem that fits the life story, or the right hymn version that we knew was so special to our parents.
From the drawing board to the day of the funeral, B was constantly checking in, seeking clarification on some aspect of a story, ensuring that she was pronouncing foreign names correctly, as well as ensuring that we as a family were coping OK. B greeted us at the funeral and we knew we were in very safe hands, she led 2 very personal services and it was incredible how she sincerely told our parents' stories with such knowledge, wit and compassion. I would have no hesitation in recommending B for any occasion.
