HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE

Magic Rags Cleaning company is the worst cleaning company I have ever had clean for me in over 26 years.

As a business owner myself I know the importance of cleaning companies and their contribution towards the success of any Holiday Let Company by providing clean safe spaces for guests to stay and enjoy their time in. A bad cleaning company will affect your business and its ratings if they constantly cause cleaning issues.

Staff constantly complained about Kim the owner of the company and her sister, uKim constantly complained about her staff to me, the staff turn over was always very high, I had many conversations where Kim blamed staff for cleaning issues, never taking any responsibility herself.

Some staff turned up at properties actually wearing dirty clothing which says a lot about a cleaning company.

The company caused a number of issues and damage at more than one property causing a detrimental effect on our business and reputation, which again the owner took no responsibility for and blamed staff.

We had cleaning issues after most cleans, nothing would be moved to clean under they simply cleaned around a bin or a bath mat. Sofa’s rarely hoover properly and damaged caused such as spraying the paneling on our staircase with cleaning sprays causing the wall to need repainting.

We received back feedback from our guests for dirty plates and utensils being put away without being cleaned correctly and the dishwasher being left with dirty dishes in it. After a number of months we had to stop using them as it was pointless having to check and correct their cleaning after most cleans.

Kim had to threaten some staff that left and started their own cleaning company the best cleaner in the business left and one continued to clean for us following their departure.

We currently have a legal dispute against this company for damage to two properties since May 2025, which hasn’t been resolved by Kim, which demonstrates the company’s lack of integrity and lack of accountability following disregard of care to our properties.

I’m very bitter about having to clean our properties after paying for them to be cleaned, I’ve spent hours correcting cleaning issues and are not cleaned or not cleaned properly or well, a Director of a company that constantly blames their employees and takes no accountability is not the way to fix their problems and to improve their business.

I write this to inform you that there are good and bad cleaning companies out there to both clean for you and for cleaners to work for.
