I hired Joseph and his team to replace my v old Victorian slate roof. The roof hadn't been loved by anyone who had lived here before and it had given me anxiety for the few years I have lived here (it didn't even have a membrane). However, I was also anxious about getting the right person for the job. My house is ~150 years old and I didn't want her to be butchered by some cowboys who didn't know how to handle a slate roof.Thankfully, I found Joseph and his team. Joseph explained everything to me, right from the start, and made me feel certain they could handle the job. He explained the work involved and the cost. Dave, Simon and Alex, who did the work, were so efficient and respectful of my house and my neighbours and me. There was lots of other stuff lurking beneath the slates that they couldnt prepare for (no one had lifted the slates in 150 years) but the team handled it all as it appeared. They took such care in the job and the roof is beautiful, I'm so so pleased with it. I also don't ever have to feel anxiety about it again, which is much appreciated.Is this the cheapest roofer you'll find? No, probably not. But, as with everything in this life, you get what you pay for. This is obviously a quality business. Dave and his team are craftsmen, and obviously hold themselves to a very high standard, which shows in their work. There's no patching or bodging going on here, there's just care and betterment and new life for roofs.I heartily recommend.
