Just wanted to say a big thank you for the recent engraving you did on my ashes memorial ring. I was struggling to find somewhere who could do it without damaging the ring as most places seem to use laser which would melt the resin but The Pewter Scribe hand engraved it beautifully and no damage! I had a trophy that needed engraving and with Christmas approaching I’d left it right til last minute on my ‘to do’ list. I normally go places like Timpson etc but I’d found Colin on google, I always like to support local so thought I’d give him the business. I was very happy with the quality of work, the price and the quick turnaround time, even tho my trophy wouldn’t fit the machine, he managed to hand engrave it! Would recommend to anyone wanting any engraving / leather work done 😊👍🏻thanks again!

What a great company Colin has. I've bought a leather Alice knot belt with Firefly buckle, then replacement belts over the years plus a pendant a couple of years ago. The quality and workmanship are second to none! Add to that the great customer service illustrated when after continuous use for about ten years the buckle came apart; I told Colin and he fixed it for free, just had to cover the postage costs. Fantastic!!

Look up their facebook page and the item Legend it's mine. Took a long time to persuade Colin to take it on. Totally worth the wait. I have numerous other pieces by Colin and all are top quality.

I ordered a pouch for my Gerber multi-tool, and it’s an absolutely perfect fit. I was asked which one as Gerber make many different models, so I found a picture on the internet, sent it, and the pouch arrived in an incredibly quick time and I’m delighted.

I contacted the pewter scribe to request a hand engraving on a vintage tankard that couldn't be done by machine due to the dents on the surface.
Colin was great at communicating with me, from initially discussing the work right through to him receiving the tankard and posting it back to me.
His work is of amazing quality and his engraving style is beautiful.
The recipient of the newly engraved tankard was very pleased with the finished article and so was I - it was the last present to be wrapped because I kept admiring it!

Colin does some fantastic pieces. His engraving is second to none and looks great on all sorts of things, tankards, glasses, flasks, plaques. . . the list really is endless. If you can think it, he can most likely do it. Great belts and buckles too, bought mine over five years ago and it’s as good as new

I’d searched all over the midlands for someone to engrave a pocket watch. Several “engravers” looked at it and said it’s impossible because it wouldn’t fit their machine. Basically all they did was clamped it and let the machine etch.....I’m so glad I found this place, besides being a very funny man he was superbly talented at freehand engraving. His prices were surprisingly reasonable as well.

The best hand engraving service you will find anywhere. The engraver has an infinite skill set and knowledge base they've recently moved to Long Eaton. If they're around they will often turn around a job within a couple of hours if possible
